Part-time Spa Therapist(s)
The new Spa at Middlewick is getting busier and busier. We are looking for a part-time person to join our team on a Sunday and a Monday.
Level 3 Beauty Therapy or an equivalent
• Experience within a wide range of spa and beauty treatments
Most importantly you must have great skills with dealing with clients. Establishing and building relationships will be a very important part of the role. Here at Middlewick we offer natural and plant based treatments so you will need to have an holistic approach to therapies. You will be helping to create a relaxing atmosphere for our guests as part of a team.

Full Time Reservations and Guest Services Manager- FILLED NOW
We are looking for a front facing individual who can take on responsibility for both online and offline bookings for all aspects of the Middlewick business.
The Middlewick is set on 16 acres of farm with 10 holiday cottages, 2 log cabins and 3 glamping pods. There is also an indoor swimming pool and steam room that is attached to our Glastonbury spa which is open for residents and non-residents. The spa has 3 treatment rooms and a yoga/ relaxation room. A small farm shop offers local produce, coffee and snacks to visitors and guests. A new Farm shop is about to be built on the site that will open in Spring 2022. The new farm shop will have a full kitchen that can provide food for up to 200 people. Middlewick can accommodate 52 people across 26 bedrooms. There are group facilities for up to 48 people and for 2022 it will be licensed for day weddings for 30 people. There are plans also to build an 8 bedroom group house that will sleep 16. This will be ready for 2023.
So with all that going on we now need to hire a new member of our team to co-ordinate and create bookings. The person we are looking for will need to a self starter as this is a completely new role to the business. Procedures and processes will need to be developed as the business expands. You will need to be an organised individual with amazing customer service skills. You will need to manage resources and diaries to ensure the smooth day to day running of the business.
Computer skills and numeracy are important as you will be using multiple booking systems as well as pricing up packages in spreadsheets.
You will need to be a friendly voice on the phone and in person. And very importantly be able to adapt and work under pressure as the business evolves.
The job will be full time based here at Middlewick but there will be days when you can be scheduled to work from home.
You will report to the owners Jill and Jonathan.
What we would like to see in a candidate.
- have at least 2 years experience working in a spa or hotel or similar environment.
- Have great customer service skills
- good computer skills to handle booking, sales and accounts systems
- very well organised and numerate
- good communication skills, on the phone, emails and on social media
- be flexible with working hours and able to work some evenings and weekends if needed for events.
- a great team player who works well under pressure
