Beltane or May Day Celebrations take place in Glastonbury from the 30th April until May the 5th.  It is a pagan tradition to celebrate the arrival of spring.

There are Green Men, Morris Dancers, Druids, May Poles and Dragons.  If you have never been to a Beltane Celebration in Glastonbury it is worth joining the thousands of people who come every year to celebrate the end of winter.

Beltane Eve Celebrations take place on the 30th April

For details of all the Beltane Celebrations that take place on the 1st May visit Glastonbury Online

A full schedule of the Dragon Festival which is held on May 5th can be found here:   Glastonbury Dragons May Fayre

For me the best part of May Day is heading up Glastonbury Tor for Sunrise.  Who fancies joining us?
