We
request one third of the price as a reservation fee with the balance
to be paid one month prior to arrival. If you are booking within
one month of your arrival the total amount is due. Group bookings
may be subject to a 10% surcharge in the event the balance of payment
is not made prior to 30 days before arrival.
In
the event of bookings made by insurance companies on behalf of clients,
we reserve the right to place a 10% surcharge on to the cost of
the accommodation. We have experienced slow payments, poor communication
and lack of integrity from some of these companies. Feel free to
contact us for specific details.
In
the event you are unable to honour your booking we may retain the
amount paid until a new booking is confirmed at which time all funds
will be returned in full. If the balance of payment is not received
thirty days prior to arrival, we reserve the right to place the
accommodation back on the market with a refund of the deposit payable
in the event of a re-let. It is suggested you purchase trip cancellation
insurance to cover any unfortunate eventuality. link to cancellation

Unfortunately
we cannot accept pets as there are two resident dogs and one aging
cat that would be hugely offended. Smoking is not permitted in the
interiors of any of the buildings. The lighting of fireworks is
not permitted on the property at any time.
Your
cottage is available from 4 p.m. on the day of arrival and guests
are expected to leave by 10 a.m to allow our cleaning staff access.
Finally
we have disposed of the tiresome coin operated meters for the utilities.
The meters will be read when you arrive and when you leave with
adjustments being handled by card, cheque or cash at the time of
departure.
Lost
property is donated to charity after one month if not retrieved.
Group
Bookings and/or use of Function Room
We
request one third of the tariff as a reservation fee with the balance
to be paid one month prior to arrival. If you are booking within
one month of your arrival the total amount is due. Group bookings
may be subject to a 10% surcharge in the event the balance of payment
is not made prior to 30 days before arrival. In the event of a group
booking it is our custom to request a £100 deposit at the
time of the booking.
This
amount is totally refundable provided:
The need for our recycling is limited to the containers provided
or arrangements are made for the disposal.
- The
premises left in a clean and tidy condition with dishes, cutlery
etc, washed and put away.
- In
the event that furniture, crockery etc is moved from one cottage
to the another, that it all be returned to the original position.
Should
it be necessary to rectify the condition of the cottages, function
room, recycling, etc there may be a charge deducted from your deposit,
based on time and/or damage.
It
is only on very rare occasions that we have had any difficulty and
never have we had to exercise this option.
Your
deposit refund will be credited to your card or a cheque in the
post with 24 hours of departure. |
