About us...
MapleLeaf Middlewick Holiday Cottages is a family owned and
operated guest facility.
The senior members, Mike and Wendy Neilson were in the guest
house and catering business in Canada for many years. In 2004 they
happily joined Wendy's daughter Judith Bisiker, to lend a hand in maintaining
and improving the excellent standards set by previous owners at
what was known as 'Middlewick Cottages'.
Trevor Butcher
our very handy
man, brings an abundant knowledge of gardens and he has, with much toil and trouble, returned Middlewick to former glory. Shelagh White, our
head housekeeper, makes sure your cottage is clean and ready for
your arrival. Amanda I'ons continues on a part-time basis, maintaining order and logic in the busy office.
Mike and Wendy have phased out the breakfast routine as the complex has reverted to self-catering. Wendy is back into her 'painting mode'. Encaustic, original paintings may be purchased at Middlewick or prints through www.wendyneilson.eu
In residence we have Shirley Wilson, as General Manager as well as offering Lomi-Lomi and Swedish massages in the 'Pamper Log Cabin'.
Equestrian
facilities have been added to the establishment and the barn
is in full swing. Judith's
credentials include Three Day Eventing at Badminton and Burghley.
She is offering coaching and training on your own horse for all levels in all disciplines
of horsemanship. There is short term stabling available for guests
of the complex who are taking part in the coaching and training
programs.
Winston,
a very large and furry cross between a standard poodle and a lab, believing he is small while his good friend - little Suzi - thinks like an elephant. They enjoy all people and we
hope you won't find them 'too' friendly. It is because of Winston
and Suzi that we must regrettably decline guests who wish to bring
their pets.
We all look forward to welcoming you to MapleLeaf Middlewick Holiday
Cottages.
